Shannon Kohnert’s brother Ray unexpectedly passed away on the evening of Friday April 29th. Those of you who know Shannon know that these past 4 months have been a tumultuous time for her with the loss of both her step father and mother, her own cancer diagnosis and now this completely unexpected and shocking death of her younger brother.

During this time she has bravely buried her mother, faced her diagnosis head on while caring for her young children whom have had to learn all to soon about illness and death.

Shannon is a strong woman though even the strongest of people can only endure so much. She is feeling broken and the financial burden of a sudden funeral service and burial is unfortunately something she is not prepared to pay for. Ray was her only brother, and though he had no children of his own, he took his role as uncle seriously and loved her children so much and they adored him. Ray only recently started working for his employer and did not have life insurance to cover the costs of a funeral and burial. I am raising money to cover the cost of the funeral and burial to help relieve Shannon of this extra burden so she can focus on taking care of herself and her children and grieving the loss of all those she held dear.
