Early November 2024, Jennifer Saffron (Ruskowski) was diagnosed with cancer after a quick urgent care visit for a cough turned into being rushed to the hospital to get tests done after they found a mass in her right lung. After some CT scans, MRIs, biopsies, and ultrasounds, the doctors found out that she has non-Hodgkin's primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma, which is a type of blood cancer. This came as a very big shock to Jennifer and her husband, Zachary, since her only symptom prior to the visit was just a cough. This very big shock comes with a very big financial burden, which they were not ready for.
