Hi Everyone,

As some of you may know, my dad's work van was stolen in front of their home 2 weeks ago.  The van was recovered, but ALL of his tools were gone.  (His tools are specific to insulation) He has over 43 years of tools accumulated being in the trade and it was all taken in the matter of seconds.  Some were given to him by his father and brother, others him and my mom started buying one tool a month when they got married.  So this is emotional for us, especially my dad.
Most of you know, tools are not cheap.  The company had ZERO coverage for this, only coverage on the vehicle.  
I have done all I can think of, called pawn shops, my parents have gone to swap meets, provided detailed information to the detective and we've had no success.  I received a message from the police investigating this issue and was told that the tools that are getting stolen are being sold to a some individuals that then sell them up north, to mexico And possibly swapmeets.  Due to the case I can't say too much, but I will say, things were not handled the way they were suppose to be.
I would not normally ask for handouts, but I feel completely helpless and want to help him somehow.
