Nikki’s 3️⃣0️⃣th! (Upperroom School of Ministry)

Hi friends and family

 

Recently, I spontaneously applied to the Upperroom School of Ministry (virtual sessions) and received a notice that I was accepted! Upperroom is a church in Dallas that I love and actually visited last year for my 29th birthday. They are a church that is very passionate about understanding God and spreading his good news to bring hope to those around them.

 

You are probably wondering what this all means… and no, it does not mean I’m going to school to be a pastor, haha. Basically, I just want to learn more about Jesus, the gifts he has given me, and how I can use my knowledge of him and the gifts he’s given me to serve others. I truly believe that part of our purpose here on earth is to love God and love others, and I think being a part of this will help me learn more about how I can do that.

 

I learned about the Upperroom School of Ministry for the first time last year and it made my heart jump. I wanted to apply, but at that time, they did not offer virtual courses. Part of me wished that I could quit my job, afford to be in Dallas, and attend the classes in person, but that was just not possible. Fast forward to this year, I received an email that applications began, saw that they offered virtual courses, and thought to myself, “why not?” and surprisingly was accepted in. Now here I am!

 

I really hate asking for things, but for my birthday this year, instead of buying me a gift or dinner or a drink (haha), I would love donations to help cover my tuition which is due March 2nd. It would mean so much to me, and I’m glad I get to have you all be a part of this journey (and even contribute to it!). Any amount helps! Never did I think I’d be able to do this program or even get in, so this is really a big deal to me and is truly an answered prayer. Thank you all for reading and celebrating this birthday with me.
