My name is Sarah and I lost my beautiful cousin unexpectedly in January 2025. Emily Ellen Culhane was only 16 years old, full of life and a star on the rise.

This beautiful, talented girl tragically contracted Meningitis B and a beautiful light was extinguished, leaving our whole family and everyone who knew and loved Em devastated.

My husband Mark is running the Dublin Marathon for the Children's Medical Research Foundation in Emily's memory to aid research into a further vaccination programme for Meningitis.
