I am setting up this page for my brother, his fiance and their precious little baby on the way. Joey and Jaimee are currenting expecting their first child in May. They went for their routine 20 week ultrasound, excited, nervous and anxious to finally get their first glimpse of their precious little baby. Baby was active that day, showing off for mom and dad already! They found out they are having A GIRL!!! And are overjoyed to be welcoming a daughter into their lives. They also recieved some not so good news that day, their baby girl was diagnosed with gastroschisis, meaning she will be born with part of her intestines outside her body. Joey and Jaimee were devestated and terrified by the news, they were referred to Mayo for future appointments and ultrasounds. Jaimee will have to relocate to Rochester, MN before the birth to ensure she is there to deliver, this means lots of trips back and forth from Grand Forks to Rochester and more missed work than these two are prepared for. When baby is born she will be admitted to NICU immediately to begin the process and surgery (or surgeries) to correct this. They are looking at the very least 3 weeks in NICU. I am asking if you can find it in your heart to donate to this amazing little family to help alleviate some of the financial strain from missed work, hosptial bills and travel expenses, they could really use the help in this incredibly stressful time ahead of them. A little bit from our community could go a long way for them. If you are unable to donate, please say a prayer for their baby girl!
