Hi, My name is Danielle. I am a single mom with 100% legal and physical custody. Almost a year ago my ex was arrested for assault and domestic violence after years emotional and psychological abuse and his active addictions. Since then during the divorce process he actively stalked and continued with post separation abuse making recovery even harder and causing further trauma. One month after his arrest I lost my job not doubt due to the extreme circumstances I had been in over the years playing a big role in my mental health being damaged from the continued trauma.

I have spent this year recovering and it took me 7 months to get a new job making a fraction of what I was used to with no support from my abuser to care for our family or household. Attorney fees that should have taken care of the divorce were used to obtain a ppo, fight the dozens of ppo violations. I have been to court countless times for the crimes he committed and had to give three victim impact statements in front of a courtroom full of people and with him looking at me. I have spent hours in a police station fighting for my safety. Getting help for that requires you to advocate for yourself and not take no for an answer.

Asking for help is so hard for me. Doing that in my relationship meant it being used against me or that I owed him so conditioning made this hard for me but it isn’t just for me. It is for my beautiful 11 year old daughter who has had to watch this all happen. No child should have to endure this.

I need help catching up on bills and attorney fees so I can complete my divorce and walk away with what I worked so hard for. I want a beautiful new secure life for her and for us to just have a moment to breathe and live.
