Morrison Family House Fire

Hi,

My name is Logan Dodson and I am a member of Glossbrenner UMC in Churchville, VA. We are starting a collection to help out this family in our community. I have grown up with this family through sports and music. This family does so much for its community and is in desperate need of our support.

As some of you may have heard there was a devastating house fire on Hankey Mountain Highway on Christmas Eve. The fire resulted in a complete loss of the entire house. The only thing that is left is the foundation.

The family that lived in this house was the Morrison’s. Lew and Lisa Morrison built this house themselves 21 years ago. It was a beautiful log home. They had two children grow up in that home that are around our age. The daughter still lives at home with her parents.

This family also helps out in the community. Have you ever seen the welcome sign coming into Churchville? They made and hand-painted it. Lew and Lisa's artwork is all over this community.

We will be taking up monetary donations for this family. This way they can use it for whatever their immediate needs may be. We will be taking up donations from now to the end of January.

Please keep this family in your hearts, minds and prayers as they have a hard journey ahead rebuilding their lives.
