Hi, my name is Hilary Smith. I have created this GoFundMe account in the hopes of raising money for my mother. After months of fighting illness after illness, we were finally given the earth-shattering news a few weeks ago that my mother in fact has lung cancer. This came as a complete shock to us. Being a respiratory therapist, she has dedicated her life to helping those in need. However, she is currently unemployed, as her illness has made her unable to work.

My mom has always been a strong and resilient woman. I have no doubt that she will kick cancer’s ass!
