Loyde Wayne Junkin past away on August 15, 2021 from Covid. He did not have life insurance. He retired from Waxahachie Fire Department. And has been a Wage Instructor for TEEX. He has been working with TEEX/TDEM in the battle for Covid-19. As of July 15, 2021 was day 465 into the mission. He was deployed shortly after that to start NIMS training for the state. And shortly after that he was exposed and contracted Covid. He went to the ER on July 27th. And had a hard fight. His lungs were inflamed and had hardened. and his O2 dropped into the 30's. His kidneys also failed. At 1:40pm on August 15th he past away.
We were hopeful he would recover knowing how determined our dad was to keep everyone safe and well. He was the most giving and kind person I have ever known. Mom will hopefully be released today from the hospital. He was so upset he brought it home to her. Our mission now is to get mom well and try to do our best to help continue his mission in helping others.
