The answer is not always clear, I think we wonder about it when we are faced with the loss of life. It makes you know that there is change in the future and we all hope that it will be alright. My lifelong friend Sherry is trying to keep living, while her fiancé Kevin is dying of heart failure. This during a pandemic does not make for easy times. They are isolated and dealing with so much alone. The only real help I feel I can offer is to help raise some money to help them get through this struggle and try and help them to keep their house while life takes this turn for them.
When Kevin Mathews' heart fails he will leave behind his fiancé Sherry and their son Anthony. Currently the family is under the care of hospice and he is off all prescribed medications needed for his heart and is being given morphine to keep him comfortable during his passing. Today is December 20, 2020.
If any of you know Kevin you know he has always been unique in his personality and stands out in a crowd with a heart is full of love and laughter. If you knew Kevin you would know when he entered a room with his voice and his laugh. He has been a local electrician in Berkshire county all his life and is known by so many.
Together Kevin and Sherry have built a life together for their son Anthony who is only 11 years old and a 6th grade student. Sherry is still working at the insurance company from home while caring for Anthony and Kevin while juggling the chaos of this world. Anthony is trying to come to terms with losing his dad who has always been his biggest fan. It is difficult to lose a parent at any age but in your youth it is never fair, this had made 2020 suck even more.
Kevin’s heart health quickly deteriorated over the summer of 2020 with congestive heart failure and has been in and out of the hospital regularly since then all the while not able to contribute financially since the summer. The bills are piling up and Sherry is focused on doing all she can to keep things going. I am amazed at how positive and strong she is being for her family, she is the strength for Anthony during this difficult time. The loss of Kevin’s income is starting to sink them and they are behind on all bill including their mortgage. I would like to help that not to happen.
We understand that we are all in economic and pandemic crisis but anything would be greatly appreciated even a share/repost to get Sherry and Anthony the help they need during this time. Thank you for taking time to read their story and please send a blessing to Kevin, Sherry and Anthony. They need it.
