Victor Mendoza Family Support Fund

Victor Mendoza's life was cut tragically short in the devastating Little Village fire that claimed the lives of eight others on August 26th, 2018. 
Victor was a very special member of the Rauner College Prep community. He has been a part of Rauner for the past two years and made very close  connections with both peers and staff members. He had only kind words, humor, and love for his peers and made Rauner a safe and joyful place to go to school for so many students. Victor loved music, playing basketball, and making other people laugh.
Victor had so many dreams for himself, from wanting to be a police officer to managing his own construction business. Victor lived his sixteen years with kindness, compassion, levity, and hope for his future. He was a loving son, protective brother, giving friend, and dedicated scholar. Victor will be missed every day and his spirit will forever be felt at Rauner. 
Victor was a member of the Rauner College Prep community for two years; the student support team at Rauner established this campaign specifically to support Victor's mother, Ms. Sonya Ramirez, during this time. We are asking for donations to help pay for funeral services, grief support, housing stability, and food. After collecting donations, our school administrator will withdraw funds and hand deliver them to Victor's mother. We thank you for any donations you are able to make.
