Waldo House Fire

Donation protected
In the early morning hours of March 22, 2024, the day of their 65th wedding anniversary, Max and Tryka Waldo’s home burned to the ground. By the grace of God, they made it out and are being treated for smoke inhalation at St. Elizabeth’s in Lincoln. The loss of this home is devastating. The memories it holds for our family are so cherished. As the ashes settle, we are slowly comprehending all the earthly possessions we need to replace, from clothing and eyeglasses to a place to live. Any donated amount would be met with humble gratitude. More than anything, we request and cherish your prayers. May the standing cross, darkened by soot and adorned with a thorn crown this Easter season, remind you of God’s steadfast provision in a time of profound loss.

Thank you to the volunteer fire department that makes our rural community truly so great, along with all the medical providers and members of the community who have graciously offered their help.
