Hello everyone. I’m Jamie’s sister, Erin.
Jamie had an outpatient surgery on September 29, 2022. The next several days something seemed very wrong. He had a fever, pain when moving and at times trouble breathing. On October 4th 2022, 911 was called and he was transported to the local hospital. It was there they discovered he had sepsis and a CT scan revealed his outpatient surgery had gone very wrong. The local hospital felt he needed to be transported to Baltimore Shock Trauma. Early that morning, Jamie underwent a 6 hour major abdominal surgery to correct the surgery he had on the 29th. It was also discovered he had septic shock. Jamie has been in an induced coma and on a ventilator fighting for his life since.
