Team Morgs

Hi everyone! My name is Morgan Silveira and I have been struggling with an unspecified eating disorder for the last two and a half years. Every time I consume anything, I vomit unintentionally. It is very inconvenient and scary. I have been in and out (mostly in) the hospital for about two years. I am 5' 4" and got down to 87 pounds. I couldn't walk or stand on my own because I would just black out. They put a feeding tube in and stabilized my weight enough for me to be independent. I can now walk on my own.
Although I have health insurance, the expenses are incredibly high. My poor mother is trying to support me and my sister on a teacher's salary. I am going to an eating disorder facility in Arizona which is hopefully going to help me, but it is going to cost Mom a lot of money. It's also hard because they had to take the feeding tube out in order for me to be accepted to the program. I'm dropping weight again, so I'm praying that this place can help so the tube can stay out for good and I can gain my life back. Throughout this journey, I've decided to become a nurse to help others in similar situations.
