From the owner’s of Cooper.
(please please read)
Cooper is a 3 year old Goldendoodle and one
of the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet! To
know him is to love him, and if you are ever around him you will find yourself calling him
“Super Cooper” because he is just that
energetic and charming!
Earlier this week, we noticed he was acting a
little strange and not his usual happy self so we monitored him closely. Took
him on more walks (he absolutely Loves walks) and gave him extra cuddles.
Today I came home from work and Super
Cooper wasn’t at the door to greet me like he usually does. I went upstairs and found him
lying on the couch very lethargic. His health
declined drastically with symptoms including
loss of appetite and vomiting. Cooper was so weak. His legs gave out when he tried to
stand.
John and I rushed him to our veterinarian,
where they ran a blood test and x-ray. The
diagnosis right now is that he is in critical
condition with severe dehydration, possible
injected foreign object, and acute kidney
failure (which is almost unheard of because of his young age). Cooper has been admitted to
our local Animal Emergency Clinic for a
minimum of 48-72 hours for stabilization and more testing. We were not expecting to hear
any of this and are absolutely devastated.
Just from today (May 7, 2021) his diagnosis
and current hospital stay has already totaled
$3647. Beyond those costs, we're anticipating costs for medication, rehab, emergency
procedures and surgery that Cooper will need in order to regain his health. His veterinary
expenses are definitely unexpected and are
adding up to a great amount. Please help
donate, pray, and or share what you can. No
amount is too small!
John and I are very thankful for everyone’s
love and support!
