Help my family survive the war in Gaza
Donation protected
Hello kind people of the world,
I am asking for your help in keeping my family safe: My five siblings, their mother, their four spouses and nine children – my nieces and nephews. My oldest niece is 11 years old, the youngest two children were born last year, only months before the war. I do not need to tell you how desperate the situation is in Gaza since you are probably following the news.

When I started this fundraiser in April 2024, it was meant to collect money for my family to leave Gaza through the Rafah border crossing to Egypt. Since that border crossing was occupied on 7 May, this is not possible any more. Since then, we are collecting money for the future and also simply for them to stay alive: everything, from water over food to nappies, is very expensive in Gaza at the moment. My family in Germany and I have been financially supporting my family in Gaza since the beginning of the war, but our own financial resources are insufficient.
I am beyond grateful that my family has by some miracle escaped the bombs so far. Their homes in Gaza City have been destroyed and they have been displaced several times. Some of them are now sheltering in a school building in Deir el Balah, some in their severely damaged apartment in Khan Younis. They have so far, most of the time, managed to find food and other necessities, but it is difficult to find these things and prices are very expensive.
My family in Gaza has started feeling the effects of prolonged malnutrition, such as exhaustion (also from not sleeping due to the bombing, and the emotional toll), pain in the limbs, intestinal issues and not being able to breastfeed. The children have trouble sleeping and often start crying when they hear loud sounds. The adults are exhausted and experience depression. Through all this, however, I admire their resilience immensely. I often receive pictures of my cute baby nephews smiling or hear that my niece has been taking part in lessons organised by a teacher.
I can transfer money to my family through friends. If you are able to donate, no amount is too small. Your kindness and compassion will save my family and give them the possibility to start rebuilding their lives after the war. If you can’t donate, just sharing this story means a lot.
