Apollos Leg Amputation
Donation protected
On 6/15/2023, I received the news that Apollo unfortunately has a tumor in his left leg. It started as a small limp and minor cut on his left leg. With his oversized feet it initially wasn't a concern due to his habit of slipping on hardwood floors and bumping his head frequently on my coffee table. As the days went on the limping gradually worsened - it was harder each day for him to pull himself up, harder to get up and down the stairs, and harder to stand for long periods of time to be able to eat/drink. The last 2 days he really took a turn for the worse. He slipped on the hardwood floor and no longer had no strength to pull himself up anymore. He is no longer able to do everyday activites, like getting up to go to outside has been a struggle. This afternoon I received the heartbreaking news. The tumor in his leg has taken a toll on his quality of life and the only option is to amputate his leg to remove the cancer. Never in my life, or Apollo's short 5 years on this earth could I have imagined he'd be going through this. I am raising money to pay for Apollo's leg amputation which I am hoping to have done as soon as I can before it starts to spread - in advance thank you all for the support and help you are able to provide.
