Support Ashley's Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Saturday, March 1st at 7:30 pm, Ashley was on her way home from work, driving westbound on G36 when a vehicle heading eastbound drove across the median into Ashley's lane and struck her head-on. When paramedics arrived on the scene, Ashley was trapped inside her vehicle and had to have her door cut off to remove her from the vehicle. She was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospital.
She’s had three procedures and is waiting for a fourth. Her injuries are as follows:
Shattered ankle
Fractured pelvis
Fractured tailbone
Fractured lumbar
Fractured sternum
Five fractured ribs
Cuts and bruises everywhere.
More operations are possible in the near future.
Waiting to hear back from the State Police to confirm if the other driver was drunk. They were investigating him for operating under the influence.
It will be a long recovery process.
This GoFundMe is for funds for transportation, food, and loss of income from work to pay bills at home while she is recovering. Anything helps and is very much appreciated.
