Hello friends and family! I am Michael Bevins and Andrea is my first cousin. I am asking for anyone who is able to help my cousin in this situation. She is currently unemployed and unable to work. Erich is a veteran from the United States Army. They currently live in San Antonio Texas but have to travel for Andrea's medical care. They will eventually have to move due to Andrea waiting for her transplant. The money raised will be used for various housing, medical and travel expenses.
Please consider giving as you are able, now and in the future, they will have a long journey ahead. This is a short description of some of the things they are facing from her husband Erich.
Most of all I ask, as a christian, that you would please pray for God's healing touch on Andrea. And for God to give Erich and family, comfort and strength during this time. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions. I am just trying to help anyway that I can during this difficult time and thought this may be a way to reach more friends and family in a safe and convenient way. We will continue to give updates as we receive them from the family. Thank for your support, I truly appreciate it!
Hello everyone, my name is Erich, my wife Andrea is needing a Bowel/Liver/Pancreas transplant. We currently live in San Antonio, Texas but have had to drive to far away places for help for Andrea. In the last 2 and a half years we have driven to the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, Duke University hospital in Durham, N.C. and to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Our latest trip has been to Detroit, Mi. to the Henry Ford Medical Center where on Feb. 6-8th 2019 Andrea was going through the transplant protocol workup.
As you can see all of the places that could help Andrea are far away. We are moving temporarily to Columbus, Ohio to be within 4 hours of the Henry Ford hospital. There we will stay with family until Andrea's transplant team give us a call when a donor comes available. We have no timeframe on the donor but when we get the call I need to get Andrea to Detroit ASAP. Once she has the transplant we have to live within 1 hour of the hospital.
It's going to be difficult to pay for 2 separate places to live. We have been in financial distress for awhile now since Andrea has been out of work since June 2016. The medical premium itself is as much as a house payment.
To all the family and friends who have helped us out financially in the past, Thank you. We love you all very much and hope this medical issue for Andrea gets resolved and she can enjoy her grandkids again. Love you all very much.
