Jackson Family Emergency Fund

Hi, I'm Kayla - Growing up, I never thought my baby sister and I would be pregnant at the same time, but here we are, growing beautiful baby girls due just 5 weeks apart! Devastatingly, not every pregnancy is easy and goes the way we all hope. My sister, Kelsey, has recently received the news no mom wants to hear; a heart abnormality was found through imaging. While we're thankful it was caught in utero, which has helped determine the plan of care, she and baby girl have a long road ahead.

Kelsey planned to deliver her baby at a small hospital here in Maine; however, after this discovery, doctors will be transferring her care to Boston, where she will be delivering baby girl in prep for the care she will require. In order to safely deliver in Boston, Kelsey will need to be there for the month before the baby's birth and could be in Boston an extensive length of time following baby girl's arrival. This means lots of travel, gas, food, high medical and living expenses for Kelsey and family.

While trying to digest this hard news, Kelsey is working full time and raising a little boy with her fiance, Dana. This family would not ask for help on their own, but would give anything to help a family in need. I would love to see our community come together and help lessen the burden of what they will go through in the coming weeks and months.
