Hi all,
I have been friends with Rachel since our high school days. Rachel has been diagnosed with, and has had severe complications from, a disorder called Moyamoya disease. Those of us close to her understand how tough and stubborn she can be. This is a rare instance where Rachel and her family could use our support. Rachel's current medical plan involves two brain surgeries, at least 10 days admitted in the hospital, and at least 6 weeks of post-stroke therapy in a specialized center. This current plan may change at any moment, but as of now, it is the plan that provides her the best chance for a full recovery. She will not, at minimum, be able to return to work for the remainder of the year.
Chad and Rachel have worked hard to secure a bright future for themselves and their children, and we are confident that they are savvy enough to handle whatever financial burden this will bring. With this in mind, please understand that assisting them financially is only one of many ways to show affection and support. Please do not donate if you are not in a position to do so. If you are unable to donate but would like to show support in other ways, please reach out to me. GoFundMe does not allow me to display my phone number in this message, so contact me directly through GoFundMe, and we can go from there.
I would encourage you not to donate anonymously, so that Rachel may extend her thanks when she can. If you prefer to remain anonymous on this platform from other donors, you may contact me about your involvement, and I will create a list.
Thank you,
Chris Bailey
(Please note that I will not be able to answer any questions regarding her plan of care or current condition due to medical confidentiality.)
