Jackson is the sweetest little guy with the biggest heart. But his heart needs some help. He has a very rare condition called CCTGA (Congenital Corrected Transposition of the Great Arteries). At the young age of 6, Jackson has already had more surgeries and medical procedures than many of us will ever have in a lifetime. Thankfully, Jackson has an amazing family who would literally do anything to save their sweet boy. His parents, Chris and Kathryn, love God and their family in the biggest way. They have worked hard, through research and prayer, to ensure the best possible care for their son.
Right now, he and his family (Chris, Kathryn, big sister Ava, and little sister Haddy) are in Boston for his next big surgery. Things have moved much more quickly than they originally anticipated when they traveled there in mid-June and now they’re faced with staying in Boston until July. The expenses are astronomical. Chris and Kathryn have had to scramble to quickly find extended lodging and even a very basic “cheap” hotel room is $250/night. Multiply that by 3 weeks and they’re looking at overwhelming expenses. This is, of course, on top of medical and hospital bills, travel expenses, dining, etc.
Additionally, they’ll be returning to Boston in September for the biggest surgery of his life. That will mean at least a month-long stay and again, the expenses will be massive. This campaign is being organized by their friends to help alleviate some of those expenses. The stress of having a child with a life-threatening medical condition is more than any of us can imagine. Our hope is that Jackson’s family will be able to put all their energy into caring for him as he recovers and that they’ll be able to enjoy every single precious moment with him. We don’t want them to also have the burden of financial worries. If you feel led to help this sweet family, they would be so honored and eternally grateful.
