If you know Nancy, you know she has one of the biggest hearts around. She’s the kind of person who never hesitates to help whether it’s a friend in need, a lost pet, or a stranger going through a hard time.

Nancy is the creator and admin of a local Facebook Missing Pets page, where she’s spent countless hours helping reunite families with their beloved animals. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication have touched so many lives both human and furry.

Now it’s our turn to show up for her.

Recently, Nancy received some heartbreaking news. Doctors found lumps in both of her breasts two on the left and one on the right. After several biopsies, she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of ductal carcinoma. The full details, such as the stage and grade, are still being determined, but she’s being fast tracked for a double mastectomy before Christmas.

It’s a lot to take in, and while there are still many unknowns ahead, Nancy is doing her best to stay strong and positive through it all.

To make matters even more difficult, Nancy was laid off while she was on WCB for a previous injury. She’s been doing her best to manage financially, but her EI is now running out, and with surgery and recovery approaching, she’s facing even more uncertainty.

As she prepares for this next chapter, she’ll be dealing with medical expenses, recovery costs, and the emotional and physical toll that comes with treatment. This fundraiser has been created to help ease some of that burden so Nancy can focus on her healing and not have to worry about finances on top of everything else.
