Hello Friends/Family,
As many of you already know, my dreams, goals, and life all came to a hault almost a year ago in May. I have desperately sought for answers to get back the real me. Dozens of specialists of every kind, travel to different states, endless tests/scans/blood work, medication, hormone therapy, and 3 surgeries later, we have determined that I am in a fight against stage 4 endometriosis. Endometriosis is the abnormal growth of cells (endometrial cells) similar to those that form the inside or lining the tissue of the uterus, but in a location outside of the uterus. These growths and scar tissue have taken over my organs and my overall ability to function. My body is constantly tortured with pain, nausea, bloating, and blackouts episodes. Along with countless other health problems derived from this incurable disease. My only option left is a major surgery in Atlanta. Unfortunately, this surgery is not covered by insurance and requires a payment of close to $20,000 up front.
This has been the longest year and hardest obstacle I have ever faced. I am only 26 and have my whole life ahead of me. I desperately need your help to get my life back. Any help is appreciated more than words could ever say.
Sincerely,
Marissa
