Breast Cancer treatment
Donation protected
I have been recently diagnosed with Stage 2 invasive breast cancer. Fortunately, the cancer was discovered in the early stages. However, as with all cancer treatment, the earlier treatment begins the better the prognosis. In the last 3 years I have lost both parents and paid for 2 funerals, had an emergency hysterectomy last year and then as a massage therapist my earnings have been crippled due COVID (which is still impacted to this day). I have been immediately scheduled for surgery in a week’s time, but the surgery is going to cost in excess of $12,000 and then time off to recuperate. If I go public, it will be obviously delayed and instead of having 1 surgery, it will be split into multiple surgeries and there is a 5 week wait which because it is an invasive cancer put me at risk. The thought of this and having to endure multiple surgeries and multiple general anaesthetics is overwhelming. Due to the previously mentioned reasons, this is financially unfeasible, and this doesn’t even include any of the costs of the treatments required following the surgery and trying to live whilst out of work due to my health and the reduction in my ability to work fulltime. Any small donation or assistance would be greatly appreciated to alleviate some of the stress of this new challenge.
