Support Ethan's Recovery Journey

Hi everyone! I am the aunt of Ethan. Ethan had an accident while deer hunting on November 2nd 2024. While making the climb into the stand he fell 15 feet landing on his back. He suffered 2 burst fractures of T12 and L1, compressing his spinal cord, and a hairline skull fracture. He was life flighted to Iowa city and had surgery to stabilize his vertebral fractures. Neurosurgery did a reconstruction of the vertebrae and spinal fusion. His spinal cord is no longer compressed, but it is bruised. The next few days will give more of an insight into how long recovery will be, and any long-term weakness/mobility issues with his legs. They really are not sure at this point the amount of paralysis or the recovery. He has shown some progress so far, but the road ahead is long. I wanted to get this started to help Jacque be in Iowa City and then on to the next steps to help support him in his recovery. The money raised will go to cover the out-of-pocket cost of the medical insurance, cover lost wages from work to ensure she can keep the home going, and cover travel/food ect.
