From the friends and family of Hieu Doan.
On March 19, 2021, it was announced that Hieu had taken her own life. She was 23. To many, she was a great friend, a colleague, and most importantly, family.
She was known for her warm and kind personality, for bringing a lot of energy to those around her, and overall, had a high spirit. She was always quick to encourage her peers to speak up, be bold, and engage in activism. Hieu was preparing to graduate from the University of Washington: Bothell campus with a major in Interactive Media/Design and had plans to become a UX designer. She's touched many lives and will be dearly missed.
This fundraiser will not only help with the Memorial arrangements but will also go towards the Doan family in their plans to send their mother, Thuy Tran, with Hieu to travel back home to Vietnam and to be with family.
Please donate if you are able. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. More details from the family will come soon. Please stay safe, and check up on your loved ones.
