In Memory of Terry Cox

It is with tremendous sadness that we share that our beloved Terry passed peacefully at home yesterday (1/24/23). It is a loss felt so deeply by those who loved her so dearly. We are heartbroken.
Terry was moved by the outpouring of support you have all shown and we thank you all for your help.
Moving forward, we are continuing to keep this fundraiser active to help with Terry’s final expenses.
Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
____________
Our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend Terry was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to other parts of her body. As anyone who has been through a tough diagnosis like this knows, we are all filled with uncertainty, fear, and tremendous heartbreak as we watch and wait - watching as our loved one struggles, waiting for appointments and results, hoping for signs of improvement and relief from the pain.
It is also at times like these when we are coming together - as families and friends always do - to surround Terry with love and support to give care to someone who has always given her all for those around her. Terry is the rock of her family: spending a lifetime raising three amazing daughters (while also being like a second mom to their husbands), being the loudest cheerleader for each of her five grandchildren, walking through thick and thin with her late husband and love of her life, sharing the entirety of life’s experience wither her sisters and brothers, and cultivating friendships that span decades. Terry is an amazing woman who always puts others before herself.
Now is the time to return the favor. It is time for all of us to pull together for her and be there for the person who has always been there for us and return the generosity she has shown for so many when she needs it most.
We are quickly learning how grueling of a process this will be. It’s a marathon, a long haul, and we all have to dig deep to make it all work. With the endless doctors appointments, procedures, treatments, pain management, driving, and time involved, costs can add up. Terry is blessed with having her sister and daughters relatively close by to support and care for her in more direct ways, but she also needs the support of her wider circle of family and friends to help soften the blow as she fights this thing.
Thoughts and prayers are needed! Please consider how you can help. We are all so incredibly grateful!
We also ask that everyone respect Terry’s privacy at this time. Thank you!
