I’m doing it! I am finally going to check off the next thing on my bucket list. In October 2016, I will be running my first marathon. This is something that I have told my wife, Kayla, for years, and next year I am going to do it. I am not just running it to check something off my bucket list, though. There is another reason I am running. Right now my brother in law, Jason Webb, is in a fight for his life. He was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This man is so full of joy, and he has a deep desire to share that joy with others. Jason and my sister Sarah are going through the hardest time in their lives, and as their brother I am compelled to fight with them. So, with that being said, this marathon is in honor of him. Each time he goes in to get chemo it takes about 5 hours. I think if Jason can sit in a hospital bed and have poison running through his veins for 5 hours, I can sure as hell run for 5 freakin hours! I will be running to raise funds for his chemo treatment, and for all the money he has lost not being able to work. Jason was in the process of job interviewing at a church, and found out about the cancer days before he was schedule to have his final interview.  Unfortunately, he was unable to make it.  Therefore, he is currently without insurance.  My sister Sarah is employed part-time at starbucks, but with all this going on she has had to take time off. My goal is to raise around $200/mile. With me running 26.2 miles that would be around $5,200 going to Jason’s needs. I am reaching out to all of you.
