Prayers & Donations for Garry David ❤️

Friends & family, we humbly come to you and ask for your help. As many of you know, Aaron’s brother Dave (some of you know him as Garry) has been extremely ill. He’s been in and out of the hospital since mid February and is not improving Today will be the 6th day he hasn’t even stood up.

He DESPERATELY needs home IV care and it is NOT covered by insurance and is very expensive…$225-300+ Our hope is that we can get him daily treatment, so he can begin to walk again and turn the corner to healing!! Any additional funds will go directly to his medical bills.

2 ways you can help:

1st ~ PRAYER

THANK YOU to everyone for their ongoing prayers!! Prayer is powerful. We pray for Daves complete healing. We pray for Shawna, his wife, as she is having to still work through these extremely difficult times and is completely exhausted. We pray for their kids, as this is very scary for them. We pray for each and every new doctor, that he can finally get the help he needs

2nd ~ Financial Aid for Home IV treatments and mounting medical bills

Huge THANK YOU in advance to everyone who is able to help, even $10 adds up and can help get Dave the care he needs to beat this dreadful illness!

Here’s some of the details of what they’ve been going through:

Dave had been battling an unknown illness for a few weeks, back in early February. It got so bad, that he asked Shawna to take him to the ER (and anyone that knows Dave, KNOWS he’s not one to “need help” and go to the hospital)

1st hospital visit: He was battling fevers, severe chills/shaking, headaches, neck aches, and vomiting. They did a spinal tap and several days later confirmed viral meningitis, along with an additional unidentifiable virus. After almost a week in the hospital, he was discharged as there was nothing else they could do besides control the fevers and let it “run its course”.

He quickly became dehydrated again after returning home, still extremely ill and unable to get out of bed without assistance. Barely keeping any food/water down, loosing a ton of weight.

He returned to the hospital after being home for a week. He was extremely dizzy, started throwing up again, and had passed out trying to walk. BP was very low, heart racing at times. After fluids, adjusting his blood pressure meds, his vitals returned to normal, and they sent him home as there was nothing more they could do.

3 days later, he was declining more, and he had to be taken back to the hospital by ambulance. He couldn’t walk, wasn’t making sense & was semi unresponsive.

He was finally able to get out of bed at the hospital after getting IV fluids. This ER dr did a bunch of tests, but they came back normal again, and no one can explain why he’s feeling so sick. They give him meds for the dizziness/vomiting, give him a walker, and prescribe physical therapy and send him on his way. He’s been bed bound for 4+ weeks at this point.

He went back to his reg Dr last week and was diagnosed with vertigo caused from the meningitis. Prescribed more meds for the nausea and dizziness. He sees a neurologist in a week. Meanwhile, he had home IV services to help with hydration and nutrition. The vertigo is still causing him to throw up all the time, causing constant dehydration and malnutrition, making him unable to even stand at all.

He has lost about 45 pounds. He desperately NEEDS home IV therapy to start fueling his body to fight this awful illness! It’s $225-300+ per IV treatment and it is not covered by insurance.
Hes already used all of his sick time and is on short term disability for the indefinite future (only 60% of his wage). Shawna, his wife, has had to continue working, as they cannot afford her to miss work. Medical & hospital bills are ridiculous expensive. And he NEEDS this IV therapy. Any amount is SO appreciated ❤️

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!!
