Support Daniel Taylor's recovery from a stroke

Donation protected

On October 20, 2018, while on a night out with his wife Amanda, Daniel Taylor suffered a devastating stroke and collapsed.  He was rushed to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia where doctors discovered and clamped off an aneurysm.

After spending two months (and his 44th birthday) in the Intensive Care Unit at Emory, Daniel was moved to Roosevelt Warm Springs for intensive rehabilitation.  In January, Daniel made his first trip outdoors since the stroke.

While progress was made at Warm Springs, Daniel developed complications that resulted in him being transported back to Emory in Atlanta for treatment (February 2019).

In March, Daniel had made enough progress at Emory to be moved back to Warm Springs to continue his rehabilitation.

Daniel is not currently able to move around on his own.  A lift is needed to move him from his wheelchair to bed and back again.  He is working very hard but his recovery is going to take a very long time (likely years).

Amanda is currently in the process of getting their home ready for Daniel to come home.  She is having to have the carpet pulled up so durable, hard, flooring can be installed that can support a wheelchair and hospital bed.

Daniel is also going to need a wheelchair van to be able to transport him around.

All funds received will go towards Daniel's medical bills, home modifications, and transportation needs.

Amanda posts updates on Daniel's progress here:
