Fundraiser For Nancy & Melanie

On Tuesday morning, August 16th, Nancy was admitted to Kings County Hospital's ICU in Brooklyn, NY, after suffering a Hemorrhagic stroke. The massive stroke on the right side of her brain affected the left side of her body, and she was unable to move it which means at this time she cannot walk, and do other basic things for herself, she requires around the clock assistance. She can slowly say some words and is very optimistic as she awaits recovery. She is currently at a rehabilitation center in NYC and both her daughter and daughter in law have been present everyday. We are very hopeful, but it is a slow and lengthy process. Nancy lives alone and has been a very hardworking woman, but like most of us, she was not prepared to be unable to work. This life-changing event has left Melanie with all the financial responsibility. Melanie lives in Rochester, almost 5 hours away but since transferring Nancy to a hospital nearby her is not feasible right Melanie had to leave her job to come care for her mom. They are honestly struggling and could use our help to lift some of that financial burden.

El martes por la mañana, 16 de agosto, Nancy fue admitida en la UCI Kings County Hospital en Brooklyn, Nueva York, después de sufrir un derrame cerebral hemorrágico. El derrame cerebral masivo en el lado derecho de su cerebro afectó el lado izquierdo de su cuerpo y no puedo moverlo. Ella puede decir algunas palabras con un poco de difficultad pero pero no se rinde y esta bastante optimista en la espera que le falta en su recuperación. Tenemos muchas esperanzas y confiamos en Dios, pero el proceso es lento. Nancy vive sola y ha sido una mujer muy trabajadora y luchadora, pero como la mayoría de nosotros, no estaba preparada para no poder trabajar. Este evento que cambia la vida ha dejado a Melanie con toda la responsabilidad financiera. Melanie vive en Rochester, a casi 5 horas de distancia y trasladar a Nancy a un hospital cerca de su casa no es factible en este momento. Honestamente están pasando por algo bien fuerte y podrían usar nuestra ayuda para aliviar parte de esa carga financiera.
