My name is Ahmed, a nursing student at the Islamic University in Gaza. I created this link to help my family and I family survive during the war. Having survived more than a year of displacement and unemployment,

we are in desperate need of external assistance so that we can survive and I can complete my studies. With me are my family of over 15 people, old and young.

For over a year, my family has been displaced from our home. We struggle to survive daily life in the center of the Gaza Strip . Often, we go several days without any food or water. I live with my father and mother, Khalil Al-Jaidi, 53, and Nabila Al-Jaidi, 52, as well as my siblings Maisa 32, Aya 31, Eman 29, Amal 28, Khalil 25, and Mohammad 19.

Even the simplest of tasks have become extremely difficult for us. There is no transportation so we walk long distances everyday in order to find anything to eat or light a fire. Working tirelessly to obtain water for my family. Everything that was simple in our life became complicated.

We have been displaced from one place to another in order to escape, and we are going through very difficult things. We live in a small tent that does not protect us from the bitter cold, does and does not protect us from anything. This is our life. It is a horror that we live every day, every hour, and every minute. We are threatened at all hours of the day.

I ask that anyone who cares about our cause will donate to lift some of our burden. We have been humiliated but we still have faith in humanity. Every donation whether small or large will help us survive the war and restore our hope.
