Hello, my name is Tennille McGregor and as many of you know my amazing husband Chef Pop Gonyon had a severe heart attack on Friday September 8th, 2023. This is a very scary and worrying time for us all. We had just returned from an unexpected trip to NJ for a celebration of life for his Aunt the day before. Pop's was adopted as a baby and we recently found his biological family on his fathers side. This unexpected trip was his 1st time ever meeting all of them for our aunts funeral. However, after our return very early on Friday morning he had to be rushed by ambulance to the emergency room. The staff in the ER immediately recognized he was suffering from a severe heart attack. Since then we have been in ICU and he has to have emergency open heart surgery. We are looking at double bypass surgery at a very minimum but probably triple bypass by Monday. We still have to get through this very extensive surgery. This means with his recovery and care post op he will not be able to cook at the lab known as Humble Revelry for an extended period of time and I will be out of work as well for a period of time to care for him as he heals and recovers. We know that times are very difficult for all of us, so we ask if you can donate, we would be eternally grateful but we also understand if you can't. We would really appreciate you sharing as well.
