Dora Reynolds is my aunt.  About 1 year ago she started experiencing pain in her colon and stomach.  She has been hospitalized atleast 3 times in that year with extreme pain and weightloss.  She has lost 50lbs due to not being able to absorb nutrients into her body.  Doctors do not know what is wrong and because she has not insurance will only do the bare minimum to keep her alive.  During all of this, it has also been realized that she needs to have her gallbladder removed.  She is unable to do either because she has been unable to work, is not eligible for any assistance like medicaid because she does not have any minor children.  Even the affordable care act has rejected coverage for her due to Texas not adopting the insurance exchange.   We believe that if she can just eliminate one of the problem areas that we know of, it will help give her some relief and give her body the ability to fight the infection and other problems in her colon.
