My name is Yazan Al-Sousi, and I am writing on behalf of my family in Gaza City. For the past two years, we have lived under constant bombardment, displacement, and destruction. We have no safety, no stability, and no basic means of life.
My family includes:
• My elderly mother and father
• My two brothers, one of whom has a wife and three children
• Myself
Since the war began, we have been through unimaginable suffering. We have fled our home many times. We live without electricity, water, or internet. We light firewood just to prepare food, and we eat what most people could not bear.
My brother’s children and I can no longer study. We have lost our education, our safety, and our peace of mind. Every day, we live in fear of bombs and of being forced to leave our home. We have no way to move south, and no way to leave Gaza unless the border opens.
We are asking for your help so that we can:
• Find safe shelter
• Get food, water, and medicine
• Escape Gaza when the crossing opens
• Give the children a chance to live and study again
We have the right to live in peace. Please help us survive this nightmare. Even the smallest donation will mean life, hope, and dignity for us.
Thank you for reading and sharing our story.
