Hello,
My name is Amanda Garcia. I am the sister in law to Emily Wilbanks.
Emily was recently and shockingly diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. It all started with bruising. Bruises began to appear on the bottom half of her body. Thanks to God she had recently acquired a new job that made her go to the doctor for a physical! The doctor sent her to the hospital and that is when it was discovered after multiple bone marrow biopsies and platelet transfusions.
She will need to undergo 8 rounds of chemotherapy and maintenance treatment for the next 3 years! Thankfully our family is able to help out with the children and daily tasks of living. However, even with insurance, the medical cost will start to come in.
Any funds acquired will go towards the medical bills for treatment and support of their family. If there is any money left over after, it will be donated to Cancer research at MD Anderson hospital in Houston.
Emily is a happy and beautiful person that has maintained her optimistic outlook on life and cure. Any help to support this family in their time of need is greatly appreciated more than words can say. If unable to financially donate, prayers for recovery and remission would be very welcome as well.
