On March 13th, Deidra went into premature labor. Through medication and the help of the amazing staff at Akron General she was able to make it another 24 hours. At 11:30 on March 14th Deidra had a C-Section and gave birth to two 9 1/2 in 1lb 6 oz twin boys, Ronan and Connor.
Due to complications with being a premature Connor didnt last the first hour. After getting to see his mom for a few moments, Ronan was taken to Children's hospital and put in an incubator. For his tiny size, this little fighter is doing fantastic.
Deidra has had the support of her friends, coworkers, amazing boyfriend, John, and her first son, Jude. She has stayed so strong and positive through this entire expereince and I'm asking that we find a way to help her out a little more.
She'll be spending the next few months in and out of Children's vising Ronan and still taking on the responsibilty of being a mother and teacher to a 6 year old. Anything anyone can do to help would be greatly appreciated.
