After a long and courageous battle with cancer, our mother has sadly passed away. Throughout her illness, she faced every challenge with strength, grace, and unwavering faith. She fought tirelessly while seeking treatment and holding onto hope for more time with her family.

As we grieve this unimaginable loss, we are reaching out to our community for support. Despite her strength, the financial burden of medical treatments and ongoing care has been significant, and we now find ourselves in need of assistance. My brother and I were the caretakers for my mother, we traveled to Texas and attempted to get her better cancer care in Dallas, and are now unexpectedly in need to get ourselves and her back home. We are raising funds to help cover the costs of her funeral expenses, to fly us back home to Chicago from Texas to be buried near her family, so that we can honor her life in the way she truly deserves.

Our mother was a light to everyone who knew her. She was compassionate, selfless, and always putting others before herself. Any contribution will help us celebrate her life and legacy with the dignity she earned. As we begin to navigate life without her, we are hopeful this will help ease us of some of our current stress so we can give mom a service that reflects her love, courage, and the numerous lives she has touched.
