Save Newton

Hi, Julie here *waves* I hate to do this, as it’s not in my nature to ask for help…or ask for anything for that matter. Usually, I will grind and hustle until I can make whatever it is I need a reality for myself regardless of any obstacles that lie ahead. But this past year + has not only stolen my income and my livelihood, it has also broken my spirit. Sheldon and I have pivoted and worked our butts off to show up for our community in any and every way and right now we are asking for help.

As y’all know (and if you don’t then you really need to pay attention lol) that I am, in every sense of the phrase, a Cat Lady. The two grey fur-balls with all the extra toes are my life. They bring joy on a rainy day and have been with me through almost all of the major events, hardships and struggles in my adult life. And now, my baby Newton is fighting for his. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure after a very traumatic early morning on Saturday, June 12. While this is not “fixable” it is treatable. The right treatments and diagnostics can extend and improve his time with us but, due to the circumstances of the last year and a half, I don’t have the financial capacity to give him what he needs. To some it may be “just a cat” but to me, he is so much more. And so, here I am, humbled and grateful, asking you for help to save one of the things most special to me.
