Deseree Smith brought light to so many people. The most important one was her beautiful daughter Makayla. Makayla was her light and sunshine, and Deseree always wanted the best for her.
Although Des had her struggles in life she knew that Makayla would thrive with her Auntie Wendy, and so she entrusted her with her precious daughter.
In Deseree's life there were struggles, including with addictions. But despite her hardships she was a beautiful person who was always good for a laugh, intelligent, extremely witty, with a heart of gold, a warm smile, and always good for a laugh. She was loved by wonderful friends and family.
On November 22nd, 2014, Deseree went missing. Her disappearance shook all who loved her, but we stayed hopeful that Deseree would come home.
On March 5th 2015, authorities reported Deseree had been found, and she was at peace with our Heavenly Father.
This GoFundMe account has been set up to offset additional costs for Deseree's Celebration of Life and grave marker. As well to help Makayla thrive, as she has many dreams, including to become an RCMP officer.
Makayla knows her Mother loved her and wanted what was best for her; it is in her memory that we fundraise for Makayla and her future.
She is a bright and intelligent young woman with aspirations for this world; We ask that you help her pursue them.
Thank you to those who have supported Makayla, Deseree's friends, family and extended family through this hard time, your love and comfort hold us together.
Thank you and God bless ~
