Meet my friend Barbara; a beautiful person inside and out. Barbara is a captain in the US Air Force and just announced her early retirement due to Huntingtons Disease. This Veterans Day I challenge you to truly give to those that have given to our country. I am raising money to send Barbara on the trip of her lifetime, a dream, in the time she is healthy.
Huntingtons is a non curable neurodegenerative genetic disorder that affects muscle coordination and leads to mental decline and behavioral symptoms. It shortens lives dramatically. Barbara will not live 60 more years as the rest of us may- her time to do something "great before she goes" is limited.
Let's give this dedicated troop a real gift this year and send her away on the vacation of her dreams. Make A Wish Foundation helps children fulfill thier dreams and I want to help her, too!
She hasn't asked me to start this fund and would never ask anyone for this fund, but I know how much it will mean to her when she receives it and know how much her friends and others truly care!
Please help me surprise her this year. I would like to present this to her for Thanksgiving. If everyone could could give just a few dollars or so, we can make this happen.
Barabra is not getting better; she is starting the delcine of symtoms- please help! She truly is a wonderful person with a gentle soul who cares about people and the earth. She deserves this!
