I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my Uncle, Kirk McKenzie, and his family. These funds will be used to provide a family deeply impacted by Hurricane Melissa with support in getting back on their feet, putting clothes on their backs, sending their daughter to school, repairing their home, and providing them with food to eat.

The McKenzie family has lived for generations in Jamaica, contributing to the economy, working hard to make an income, and raising their families. They have worked hard to maintain a home in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and have a daughter going to school in the area on a scholarship. When Hurricane Melissa hit the family survived a harrowing event in which their entire roof was blown away, one person was nearly lifted out of the house, and all of their belongings were blown out of the house. Their daughter's school was completely blown away, along with their business that supplied their income. The entire family is devastated and without income to fix their home and livelihood.
