Team Oaklyn! Help win the fight against Leukemia!

After a few months of some bizarre, intense fever episodes, (and lots of advocacy from her parents), this Saturday (10/8/22) morning around 3am, our favorite girl, Oaklyn was diagnosed with Leukemia. The last few days have been a whirlwind, but Oaklyn had her first chemo treatment yesterday, and Mom and Dad are grateful to doctors and nurses at Doernbecher's Children's Hospital for their excellent care.

Oaklyn is handling her treatment just like everything else — strong and feisty. Doctors and nurses are optimistic that she will be able to fight this into remission, but it will be a rough few years ahead of treatment. Oaklyn will have Doctor visits in Portland multiple times each week, and the family will have a lot of changes to their daily lives.

For now, one way that folks can best support Oaklyn, Billy, and Madison, is to make a contribution to this gofundme. This will help Mom and Dad both be able to spend as much time by Oaklyn's side as possible, while helping to offset some of their regular household expenses as Medical leave is exhausted in the weeks ahead. This will also help cover new purchases of medical equipment and supplies, and increased travel expenses to take Oaklyn to her appointments. Every bit helps!
