Send Student Doctor Nick to Haiti

Hello everyone,

My name is Nicolas Applyrs Jr and I am the son of 2 Haitian parents who grew up in the empoverished region of Port-de Paix, Haiti. The idea of giving back to the community where my parents overcame extreme poverty has always been a dream of mine. I searched and found an organization called The Christian Medical and Dental Association of Atlanta who's mission efforts in Haiti is to reach out to those who rarely, if ever, are treated for medical or dental health concerns, and they provide educational training so that local healthcare providers can offer better care after a team leaves. 

After talking to Bill Reichart from The Christian Medical and Dental Association about their late June mission trip to Haiti, I knew as much as I wanted to be of service, I wouldn't have the $2350 required for the trip with the high costs of Medical School. I prayed about it, and within a week I found out I was awarded the W. Montague Cobb Medical Scholar Award by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated, which I will use mostly for this trip. I am determined to work in the name of Jesus Christ and bring life transformation to every man, woman, and child I encounter in Haiti.

I am now reaching out to you, my friends, for help. I will need to raise $1350 and I have about 60 days to do it. I am asking each one of you to make a small donation of $1 (or a little more if you are able) to help me directly change the lives of the  less fortunate. This is a great opportunity for you to be responsible for a glimmer of hope in the lives of people who don't have too many great days.
