In loving memory of a true hero-Ram

Hi, my names Paige. On behalf of me and my siblings Reiss and Aaliyah we are trying to raise funds for my dad’s funeral. As well as to raise money for Myeloma UK. The only UK charity that focuses on incurable blood cancer Myeloma & awareness.

Dad (Ram) was diagnosed with myeloma in 2019. A blood cancer with no cure, it took dad as we knew him not long after he was diagnosed. But he refused to let it beat him.

Hundreds of hospital appointments, constant admissions, clinical trials, chemo, radiotherapy, stem cell transplants. The extensive list really does go on.

Dad never allowed this disease to dim his light. He pushed and fought through the darkest of days. Even when he felt it was all too much and the world was becoming too distant as he knew it.

Despite doctors opinions, dad laughed, cried and battled. Most recently welcoming 3 grandchildren with open arms. Despite his pain & challenges, dad played football with them & on good days, had family days at the park.

Most importantly, dad was able to hold them.

Pouring every piece of himself into them. Achieving milestones he’d always been told he’d never do.

Dad always said his body would give up on him before his mind ever would… and that’s exactly what happened on this occasion. Despite beating the most severe illnesses and repeated infections.

Dad suddenly lost his life on the 1st October 2024, whilst holding hope in one last bid, to control his cancer.

We’re raising money to give dad the best send off for the last part of his journey on earth. As well as giving back to the charities that have gave dad more time on earth with his family & loved ones.

He leaves behind so many that he loved and cherished dearly.

We pray dad is now at peace, out of pain & no longer is constrained to a hospital.
