Hi my name is Gabby, 2 years ago we found Ozzy and his brother in the parking lot of our apartment next to his deceased mother. We immediately knew we had to rescue them! We took them in and got them the help they needed but always knew we wanted to add Ozzy into our family when he was ready for adoption! Fast forward 2 years later Ozzy began to have problems peeing. Since January 2nd 2023 Ozzy has been in and out of the hospital, at first it was a blocked urinary tract due to crystals, the hospital unblocked him and then he immediately got blocked again. We knew we needed something more long term so we gave them the okay to perform a perineal urethrostomy surgery to help fix it. The day he came home from the hospital I went into labor with our newborn son. He was receiving medication and healing when we noticed he wasn’t peeing again. We took him back to the hospital where we med boarded him so he could get the proper healing care he needed. He is still unfortunately unable to pee on his own and will now need a revision surgery to see what is stopping him now. This has been a rollercoaster of emotions and heartache. Financially our family can’t afford to do this next surgery but we do not want to give up on him and the hopes of healing as he’s only 2 years old and has the potential to continue to be the fun loving snuggly cat he was just weeks ago.
