Hello my name is summer and today something tragic happened. As most of you will know me and my mum, Emma from the village, you will know she is hard working and always has been. Today at around 6pm our house set on fire when we was both out the house. It is not known what caused this to happen but we have been left with no where to live.Not only have we lost our house, our dog was in their too, ozzy , the fire crew that arrived did an excellent job and got him out, the fire had not spread to him yet but he had passed out of all the smoke. As I rushed home I arrived to my dog passed out in my back garden with an oxygen mask on and people surrounding him trying to save his life. As I dropped to the floor and wrapped my arms around him he shot up, me and my grandad rushed him to the emergency vet’s as instructed as my mum dealt with what had happened to the house. After 1 hour of waiting they told us he had carbon monoxide poisoning and they want him below 5% and he was at 15%. We was informed he had to be put on oxygen to bring this percentage down, once that is done they can exam his lungs and hopefully they are not damaged. They gave us an estimate of 2,000-3,000 pounds just for the oxygen and overnight stay. We still do not know his condition or how he will progress as is it early days.My mum has built our little flat up since I was young, she’s always done little bits to keep trying to make it nicer whenever she had the money and now to watch her loose it all in the space of an hour is heart breaking. I really hope this will help her so she doesn’t have to restart completely. Thankyou for listening
