Ozy’s Battle

Hello, I’m organising this Go Fund me for a local, loveable larrikin!

Over 2 weeks ago now Graham ‘Ozy’ Oswald was airlifted to The Royal Melbourne hospital after collapsing on the floor at home and losing feeling to both his legs. Further scans showed a tumour wrapped around his spine and spinal cord causing the partial paralysis. He was rushed into surgery to release the compression on his spinal cord to regain the movement in his legs.

At this stage it is looking to be a long road of recovery for Ozy, with him needing rehabilitation and cancer treatment in the future. This incident has obviously come as quite a shock to the family. During this time on top of the emotional stress and exhaustion comes expenses of travel to be by Ozy’s side as often as possible, as well as accomodation close to the hospital. Unfortunately other costs are continuing to build at home for them.

As Ozy will be needing time off work and his sweet wife Vera is trying to work shifts in Hamilton between trips to the hospital, I’ve started this page to try and take some of the financial pressure off the Oswalds during his time of recovery. The generosity of our community no matter how big or small would be enormously appreciated.
